Jennifer was born in 1946, spending her early years living on a Thames barge on the Medway River. Subsequently, moving to Cornwall where the ever-changing light on sea and granite moulded her interest in painting. Jennifer was already selling her paintings by the time she was 12 years old.
After training her career has been involved in fine art restoration, which she continues today from her studio in the Sussex High Weald. She shares with her husband, the endeavour of organic and b-d farming. The views from her tiny cottage provide inspiration for her painting and the knowledge and discipline comes from working with the techniques and materials of the Old Masters has taught a refinement not easily gained.
Her paintings, from which her prints are taken, are in egg tempera on gessoed panels. These can take many months to complete, as each is worked according to the season and may have to be put aside until the following year. Jennifer’s prints are reproduced as closely to the original as possible, using the giclée process.
